Girls Who Code

How does $100K a year sound? ? ? $100K is the average salary for U.S. computing jobs, and Girls Who Code wants to help students who identify as girls or non-binary #MakeThatChange! ?  

Join Girls Who Code's free virtual summer programs, and get the skills and support you need to step into the 500,000+ open computing jobs across the country. ?‍? ?

  • Our 2-week Summer Immersion Program (SIP) hosts current 9th-11th graders in live virtual classrooms led by industry-leading companies like EAPfizer, and ViacomCBS. Students learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while getting an inside look into the tech industry. Plus, SIP students can apply for grants up to $500!

  • Our Self-Paced Program offers independent study and real-world projects for current 9th-12th graders to earn beginner-level badges in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web development or an intermediate-level badge in Python for cybersecurity.

Both programs offer exclusive alumni benefits and career support for life, including our Hiring Summit, pre-internship programs, virtual mentoring, and GWC Talks webinars for career tips and strategies. ? ?

Women in Law Day

Every year, the Women's Law Caucus at Colorado Law invites high school and undergraduate students from across Colorado to join us in Boulder to learn about law school and the career opportunities available to aspiring lawyers. The goal of Women in Law Day is to encourage young women of all backgrounds to consider a career in law. This is a great opportunity for both those who have already contemplated becoming a lawyer and for those who may have never considered it.

Women in Law Day (WiLD)

Where? Wolf Law Building (CU Boulder), 450 Kittredge Loop Dr, Boulder, CO 80305

When? Saturday, April 2, 2022, 8:30 a.m. - 3:00p.m. 

Who? Open to all high schoolers and undergraduate college students who want to learn more about legal careers.

What? Women in Law Day is free! Students need only to play for transportation to Boulder. The schedule includes a mock first-year law class (no prior knowledge needed), panel sessions with local practicing women attorneys, a keynote speaker, and opportunities to hear from current law students and meet women attorneys. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

Girl's Inc Summer Internships

The program is for current 8th, 9th or 10th grade students (new to Girls Inc. or existing Girls Inc. participants welcome) and begins this summer. Some exciting highlights include a residential summer camp on a college campus, a paid summer internship in the community organizing, public policy or advocacy field, and a trip to Washington, D.C.!

Method Learning - FREE

Method Learning is an ACT and SAT online test prep resource now available for FREE to all DPS students and staff via Sora. Students learn new tricks, strategies, and techniques to help raise test scores. The online course includes full-length practice exams and video and audio lessons and explanations.
