Known to some as a man of Math & Mystery, I am Matt Orrin, one of the Math teachers at Denver Justice HS. I moved to Denver in 1998, from Albany, NY where I got my BA in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. I acquired my Masters (Technology Integration in Education) in 2007 from UC Denver. I originally grew up in Queens, NY and then lived upstate for 6 years until I decided I needed a change. After 6+ years in IT, I started teaching at CLA in 2002 and stayed there for 8 years. I took a brief (9 years!) stint away from education to run my own bar/venue/comedy club, but I never felt as fulfilled as when I was teaching.
On top of my love for Math, I also have a strong fondness for playing games of ALL types! I also enjoy hiking, camping, disc golf and taking my wife and 2 little girls on adventures, exploring all of Colorado.
