My name is Tyler Bauer and I am grateful to serve as the Assistant Principal here at Denver Justice. I was raised in New Mexico, went to college and lived for years in the Pacific Northwest, and have come to rest here in Colorado with my wonderful wife and two boys. I attended Whitworth University in Spokane, WA, and spent the majority of my early career serving serving homeless and street-involved folks in Seattle, WA , helping them to find safer more stable lives off of the streets. It was formative work. I made the transition into secondary education about five years ago. “Out of the frying pan and into the fire,” I’ve joked, but I honestly love the work. Our students are remarkable young people–without exception–and deeply invigorating to me.
I’m proud to be apart of what is happening at Denver Justice High School. The staff here works very hard to do right by the students and families we serve, and the futures for the students and this school are bright.
